My Story

" "

Hey, I’m Kavya. I believe movement is medicine—simple, powerful, and transformative.

My yoga journey started when I was 16, almost by accident. Back then, it was just a weekly practice, something I did without much thought. At first, I was all about flexibility—pushing my body into deeper stretches, testing my limits. But as the years passed, yoga became something much bigger. It became a way of life, a guide that helped me navigate everything—the way I connected with people, how I understood myself, how I moved through the world.

I realized yoga wasn’t just about what happened on the mat. It was about the space it created in my mind, the calm it brought into my daily life, and the way it helped me listen—to my inner voice, to the things that truly mattered.

Now, my teaching is a reflection of that journey. My sessions blend Hatha and Vinyasa styles, balancing movement with stillness, effort with ease. You’ll find a mix of flexibility-focused asanas, yoga philosophy, pranayama, and a whole lot of awareness. Alignment is key, but so is laughter—expect a few deadpan jokes along the way.

At its core, my teaching is deeply rooted in mental health. Yoga has the power to quiet the mind, to soothe the nervous system, to bring us back home to ourselves. And that’s exactly what I hope to share with you.

Having taught at places like SoShanti Yoga SchoolVaayu Kula, and Anahata Retreat, I’ve experience of teaching students from all walks of life across the world. I’ve experience teaching from fast-paced Vinyasa, and Hatha to slow-paced and subtle Yin yoga.

When I’m not on the mat, you’ll probably find me by the ocean- surfing, or hanging out with dogs and cats. Right now, I’m based in Goa, but my yoga practice—like life itself—is always evolving.

Confused about which style to start, or how to start, let’s have a 15-minute free discovery call and figure it out together!
